This Friday at St. James Farm in Warrenville, your women’s and men’s cross-country team will be competing in the Eagle Invitational! The women’s race will go off at 4:00 P.M. and the men’s at 4:45 P.M. Our previous two meets at Maryville St. Louis and Notre Dame involved quite a bit of traveling so we are excited to finally be at home! If you have never been to the St. James Forest Preserve, it is quite beautiful (especially in the fall with the changing leaves!). According to my weather app, it is going to be a lovely, crisp fall day on Friday, which is a perfect excuse to come out and cheer us on! We have finally reached peak cross-country weather, so we are extremely excited to run this race. The course should be a fast one and there should be plenty of opportunities to cheer considering the course is a loop repeated 3 or more times. The women will be running a 6k and then men an 8k. Even if you’re not a fan of cross-country, you can take a nice autumn stroll through the forest and just cheer whenever you see a Benedictine runner :). This meet marks the middle of our season so we will be coming off of our highest mileage week. Hopefully this means you’ll see a strong race from all of us!
