Living on campus definitely has its advantages. Everything is in walking distance and you can just roll out of bed and go to class. One thing that is limited on campus are your dining options. If you attend a smaller campus you may not have the multiple eating options that of a large state school may have. When it comes to eating, even if you are limited in your eating options, switching up what you eat is a great way to explore new food groups and also different variations of a food. Most college dinning halls have buffet style eating which gives you a lot of options. If you are the person who gets a piece of pizza, fries and orange Gatorade everyday then you are not getting the necessary nutritional values that you need. Switching up your everyday meals does not mean settling for only vegetables and water. A lot of foods that offer great nutritional value, also taste great!
Don’t be afraid to try new foods. A lot of the time you will be surprised at how many things taste great that you had no idea. Start with something small and if you are feeling bold, go to the extreme! Food is meant to be eating-so go out there and mix and match new foods. You’ll be surprised at how many things that you find yourself enjoying.
