Many professors offer extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. For my accounting and humanities class, both of my professors allow students to receive extra credit by simply going to educational school events. Once I attend the event, I simply have to write a one page summary and just like that I get extra credit points. Here are some current educational school events coming up:
- April 15, 2014, 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM in Kindlon Hall. Dr. James Pelech, Associate Professor of Education, author of several books and numerous journal articles, and the featured author at the next Library Faculty Authors book chat, will lead an informal discussion entitled “Research in Education: Watch Out for the Curve Ball!”
- April 15 and 17 2014 at 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in Krasa Presentation Room.Money Smart Week is a public awareness campaign aimed at helping individuals better manage their finances. The “Big Money” presentation featuring T-shirts, cash prizes and the money machine will be held from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15 in the Krasa Presentation Room.
- April 22, 2014 at 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM in Krasa Student Center. Dr. Dean will discuss his experiences running for the office of President in the 2004 elections, serving as the Governor of Vermont and the chair of the Democratic National Committee, and his views on the Affordable Healthcare Act and healthcare reform in general.
If you are reaching for that A or B, make sure to attend some events to get extra credit that can help your grade before its too late!
