Just a Train Ride In

Here at Benedictine we are very close to the city (that is Chicago). If you are bored and looking for something to do on the weekend it would be a great idea to plan a trip to the city. There are two very close train stations to campus. One is in downtown Naperville and the other is right here in Lisle. From the Naperville station the cost was about $10 for a round trip to Union Station. Taking the train is definitely cheaper especially with today’s gas prices and the cost of parking once you get to the city. If you don’t know there are plenty of things to do in Chicago. You could walk around Michigan Ave. There is a store for every kind of person on Michigan Ave. A couple blocks away is Navy Pier which has tons of stuff to do such as riding the big Ferris Wheel. You might have to take a taxi, unless you are into walking, to the museums. There is the Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry, or the Museum of Contemporary Art. If your are a Bears fans, Soldier field is very close to the three museums.
If you do decide to take a trip to the city have fun and be safe!
