What to do over winter break

Winter break is the most wonderful time of the year because it is the best time to relax and have nothing to worry about for an ENTIRE MONTH! This is a college students happiest time because there is only one semester left until summer. After the first week or two, doing nothing everyday is very boring. Here are some free or cheap ideas for people who live in the Chicago area

  • Ice Skating at Millennium Park
  • The Magnificent Mile Lights
  • The Christkindlmarket Chicago will be open daily from through December 24 at Daley Plaza
  • Zoo Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo through December 13th
  • Christmas Around the World & Holiday of Lights at The Museum of Science of Industry lasts until January 5th (there are free museum days, check online!)
  • Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier lasts until January 12th

  • Read books
  • Make a gingerbread house
  • Snowball fight
  • Drive around and look at decorated houses
  • Sledding
  • Bake cookies, cupcakes, and cakes

Enjoy your winter break!
